119: Human Trafficking... The Hidden Crime

3-Fold Brochure - Measures: 3½" x 8½"
Age: Adults, Departments

What Is Human Trafficking?

Human trafficking is people selling people to make money. It can involve kidnapping, but more often is the practice of luring victims with false promises of financial or emotional security and forcing or coercing them into commercial sex (prostitution), domestic servitude, or other type of forced labor. Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. Human trafficking happens almost everywhere, including here in the United States.

Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked in countries around the world - including the United States. "Human Trafficking... The Hidden Crime" is a folder dealing with the local, regional, and often, global issue of this hidden crime. This folder is designed to help local law enforcement create awareness to prevent and combat human trafficking in their area.
